Be Still and Know J.Lyn Jones

Dream with me for a moment.
See the manger behind the inn.
Listen to the cricket choir in the pasture beyond the stable.
Smell the sweet straw and musky night air.
Hear the occasional bellow from a cow, or snort from a horse.
Welcome the footsteps of approaching shepherds.
Believe the miracle.

Suddenly the cries of Messiah born in Bethlehem's stable crescendo.
A world suddenly silent.
Speechless, in awe and wonder of the miracle born.
Hope. A gift to a weary and sin exhausted world.
Mary pondered the mystery of it all.
God wrapped in flesh, redeemer.
Born to give--His all.

This December reflect on the miracle.
 Stare at the stars. Wonder.
Imagine the angels proclaiming His birth.
Find a quiet place to be still and know.

Let your mind and emotions become quiet with God's love.

Consider the miracle.
Embrace the eternal.
Know that He is God and He loves you. --j.j.

  2. Hi Jen, I wanted to thank you so much for the Christmas card you sent me, and am so glad that I now have your home address too :). You don't know how much it means to me that you keep in touch with me after all these years. I love the names of your little girls and I'm so happy for you that you have such a lovely family! You've grown up to be such a beautiful woman both inside and out, but that was to be expected considering the wonderful mom you had for a role model :)... I know that she has to be so very proud of you and what a blessing for her because she is a wonderful woman herself, and I love her very very much! God bless you and your family in this New Year and may you continue being a blessing to others through your blog. (((HUGS))) from~~ Bertie :) <3
