Miracle Monday

Dear friend,  God is never far from anyone of us, if we will seek Him with all of our hearts.
The year was 1993.  My husband and I were newlyweds and struggling financially.  I was finishing my teaching degree and he was working for Universal Studios. His responsibility included excercising the horses for the Wild Wild West show.  One day as he was horseback riding through the 20 acre + property.  His keys, including our one and only key for the 69 Chevelle,  fell out of his pocket.  Mark searched the acreage, but to no avail.  At the time we had no money to pay a locksmith to make another one. Thankfully, when we got married, we each had a car. Both of our cars were older, and it was a good to have a backup car if one of them broke down. After Mark spent hours searching for the lost key, I picked him up from work.  The car stayed and the key remained lost.  The next day with heavy hearts and a little faith we rode out to Universal Studios, and walked into the enormous field.  We prayed and told God what we needed.  We knew finding that key looked impossible as we scoured the 20 + acres.  Time passed and we were just about to give up, when I noticed something shiny about a foot away from where I was standing.  I looked down at the mound of grass close to my feet and I saw a key glinting in the afternoon sun.  Yes, it was the missing Chevelle key.  Miracles still happen. You are more valuable than many sparrows. If you need a miracle, God can meet your need. Believe!

  1. Thanks Jen, I needed to hear something uplifting today and opened my email and here was this wonderful story of faith and God's promises being fulfilled! Jesus did say "You have not because you ask not"! Sometimes we feel selfish for asking of God things we have need of, but that's the enemy making us feel guilty for actually taking the gifts the Lord has given us. I'm so thankful for a God that cares about us so much that He tells us to "Cast your cares on Him for He cares for you"! To God be the Glory!!

  2. You are so right. God wants us to take our needs to him. I love that scripture, "Cast your cares on Him for He cares for you." Thank you for your inspiration.
